Early May 2010 – The Rotten Weather – But Better Times Are Ahead

Early May has been dreadful this year on the north east coast and it looks like the persistent northerly winds will spoil the fun for a lot of boat anglers at Whitby this week end, looking at the long range forecast it looks set in for next week as well. But Im ptretty certain that as soon as the weather settles and the water clears the fishing is about to take off with a bang.

With the sea swell set to reach 10 foot by Saturday if you can believe the experts and  the skippers are just as disappointed with most prebooked well in advance remember the skippers livelihood depends on these trips so we don’t cancel lightly or without a great deal of thought, your safety is paramount to all the professional boat men in the Whitby charter skippers association please give a thought to us skippers,

my advice is to keep in touch with your relevant skipper and make alternative arrangements a.s.a.p. as everyone will be doing the same thing once cancelled
