How very stange apart from one ling all the top  7  fish weighed in the spring festival were pollock and only Oz’s between them was it anglers tactics? the weather? Tide? water clarity played it’s part with the alge bloom effecting the inshore fishing the winning boats were working further off in clearer water what do [...]

During 2008 we were lucky enough to locate a few Halibut on board trot on. Although we never specifically targeted these fish it is always a pleasure to see such beautiful specimens come to the boat. I am sure you will enjoy the pictures.

A Lucky angler onboard Trot On managed to hook and land a porbeagle shark in the Whitby angling festival. As Sharks are not allowed to be weighed in during the festival for conservation reasons, the fish was returned to fight another day.
