My brother-in-law Dave, family members and friends booked the boat for themselves today. Again the fishing was steady with cod coming to the boat most of the day. Top rod today was Dave himself with 27 cod and a nice ling. Howevere it was his fishing buddy Rob Wadsworth who came out on top on the day with the largest cod of 9lb 6 oz. Here is an extract from the report that Dave submitted to the fishing forum.

Hi guys me my son and a couple of mates have just had a great days fishing in the festival on shy torque. We all caught plenty of fish with my mate Rob Wadsworth catching the biggest with a bonny cod at 9lb 6oz. I had a total of 27 cod to 6lb to keep and a couple of ling. The weather started off pretty good with a fairly calm sea but got a bit wet and windy with the change of tide. The fishing was great and got better as the day went on we used a shed load of bait and lost a fair amount of tackle but that’s the name of the game in’t it. I will be back out to try again tomorrow all being well so good luck to everyone else giving the festival a try but don’t try too hard
