Chieftain — 13 May 2010

The season has got off to a slow start with poor weather and not a lot of fish close in.

As most of our fishing is further out we have still been able to return some decent catches and the 36 hour trips have been producing some good fish with cod to 20lb and ling to 22lb.

The best of the fishing hs been to the north east between 70 and 80 miles out of Whitby, there are some decent fish about but the long cold winter seems to have slowed things down and as the weather warms up I am sure the quantity and quality of the fishing will improve.
