Sea urchin II is a class boat and is skippered by a knowledgable man ,in fact a gentleman,He will allways do his utmost to try and find fish for you,on my latest trip out with him we had quite a good few fish ,my catch was mainly cod and a couple of ling thrown in as well,i had over 3 stone of fish after they were guutted, and allso third heaviest fish of the day in the spring festival of the boats that took part 15/4/09,we tried several marks and eventualy hit the jackpot, all the anglers had fish and mick even shared the fish he caught with the less fortunate who didn’t do so well ,thats the sort of skipper he is,if you book with this skipper on sea urchin II you will not be dissapoited ,tight lines HARRY

Had my first crack at uptiding today on board Seaurchin, after a very wet steam down to the south hard we dropped anchor and cast out our baits ,I decided to start with big baits of lug and squid and was first in with a fish of about 5lbs then I had another about the same size on cart and squid by this time the other 2 anglers on board were pulling in fish as well, then it died off but Mick the Skipper said that’s what happens and get ready for the fish to come back on and sure enough after a short while rods were jumping again I seemed to be doing better than the other rods, was it something to do with the extra large baits I was putting out or just beginners luck I dont know anyway I had 9 fish out and had lost a couple of what felt like bigger fish by the time the tide went slack by which time the fish had stopped as well and we were waiting for what seemed like a lifetime for the Flood tide to get underway but the fish never came back on and so that was it for the day. I had a very enjoyable day and Mick the skipper is a top bloke, very friendly and knows his stuff. If anyone was thinking of having a go at uptiding I Highly recommend a day on Sea urchin with Mick.
