The blog on the WCSA site is open for all WCSA members to contribute to. Catch reports, available places, your news, and anything fishing related is all welcomed.
Mick Leonard and myself are more than willing to post up your messages or if you wish you can have me set a posting account up for you.
I am more than happy to post anything onto the blog from the individual skippers, but you must make it easy for me to do this for you.
If you want me to do this then you must send your typed message and attached pictures to me at whitbyseaanglers@gmail.com. I can only deal with electronic images from a digi cam so please don’t send pictures to scan. I will happily add your fishing updates free of charge so long as they are submitted via email after being spell checked by yourselves. For any work on the site other than updates I will have to make a charge to the individual skipper.
Mick Leonard has also volunteered to update the blog on your behalves free but again he will also need a typed massage and digital photos, Please contact Mick by your usual method if you wish for him to update the blog for you.
If any member wants to discuss anything at all I am contactable most evenings on 01947 604395. If I’m out (Probably fishing on my kayak) then leave a message on the answering machine, along with your number and Ill get back to you.
Best wishes – Glenn Kilpatrick

I have been an evid reader of this site since it was first published on the internet. The site keeps us inland anglers (Rotherham) updated on what is happening on the coast and it has helped me to plan some succesful trips with Paul on Sea Otter 2.
It appears that Paul Kilpatrick and Mick Leonard the Sea Urchin Skipper keep us posted with on how things are going, but we rarely see any mention of the other Whitby boats on the site, why is this ? Are there only 2 boats working out of Whitby these days or are catches from the other boats so poor that they dont bother to post about their catches ?
I suppose in the long run it means more business for Paul and Mick, but I just wondered why we never hear mention of the other boats.

I was talking to the lads at the spring festival about this. Apparently non of the other skippers ever make reports to this site. This is a shame as I love to see what is being caught. I suppose in the longer term, Paul and Mick will benefit and they will end up fully booked most days of the summer.

Interesting comments thanks, but of coarse the other boats in our association are working and catching just as many fish i guess, i think half the problem is some skippers are not computer litrate and some others just not bothered with posting reports and some are just not promoting there boats the way I choose to do, some skippers advertise in the angling mags alone and seem happy with just that, I do hope as the year progresses more skippers will get more involved with fishing reports as I for one feel this is the best way to keep in touch with regular anglers and gain new ones by interacting on the net because like it or not this is the future and by far most of my bookings come from the net.

ive fished on most boats and never had a problem, sea spray seems to be the most popular with me, no specific reason for this just had good times so its habit i guess, the first number i ring.
