Yesterday I had a group of lads on from Helmsly mostly novices who were fishing a big tide of around 5.4m still there was no wind and the water was clear as a bell, Robin Molesworth was fishing baited Muppet’s on my hire tackle when he hit into a huge fish on some ground close [...]

Mick Roe from Preston has won this years summer angling festival with a ling of 26lb 2 ounces caught from Paul Kilpatrick’s boat Sea Otter 2. Mick is the lucky winner of our first prize of £5000. He was also a daily winner and winner of the ling section.

This 24lb cod was caught today by Paul Barker on John Wilfords boat 2 doggs. Im sure you will all agree that its a tremendous catch

Just a quick update after after a few recent trips, the bigger fish are showing in the deeper water at the moment.
The 70 hour trip gave some excellent fishing, with two cod in one drop coming to a grand total of 34.5lb and the heaviest fish a Ling coming in at 27lb.
