    HI there

I want to go on a fishing trip where all tackle and bait is supplied and I also get to keep my catch. Please could you tell me what trips leave either Whitby or Bridlington, duration of trips and relating cost.

    Thank you – Andrea

Hi Andrea 8 and 10 hour angling trips leave Whitby most days all through the year, shorter 3 hour trips operate through the summer holidays all the boats on this site although affiliated and members of the wcsa they run there own business and charges will vary you will have to contact each skipper direct with his prices
just click on the boats tab at the head of the page

Is Tut Utterly still a charter skipper there? I used to take him and his Colchester sea angling club out from Ramsgate many years ago.

  • admin (author) said:

Hi Allan, Tut was a skipper at Whitby and I know many of the lads speak very highly of him. I think they also named a peace of ground after him. “Tuts garden” is about 2 mile off Hawsker and a phenomenal cod mark through the summer.

If you put up your question in our forum I’m sure some of the lads will answer you better than I can. You may also find this topic of interest. http://www.whitbyseaanglers.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=8993.0

    Thanks for info on TUT.
He arranged charters with me in the late 70s and early 80s.
He had a charter skipper friend in Whitby and he crewed with him when he could.
Finally packing up the building trade and skippering a boat himself, well, by the sound of it.
PS Yellow boat, Sea Roma is an ex Ramsgate boat, built here in the early 70s.
    Many Thanks
    Allan
